The ‘Rich Boys’ of the Gert Sibande region also spent their time doing soccer clinics as part of the club’s community outreach programme.
The coaching staff and players of V.O.C United FC conducted the soccer clinics attended by more than 100 children from Harmony Park, Phola Park and Thandukukhanya, Mkhondo. The coaching stuff and players successfully conducted the soccer clinics for an hour. “We are visiting all rural areas of the region where our radio station VOC FM is broadcasting. This project is part of the station’s community responsibility programs including the club.”

The reason they came to Phola Park -an extension of Thandukukhanya Township- is because of a local player Mphumzeni Shandu who plays as a goalkeeper for V.OC. United FC. “We are visiting all rural areas of the region where our radio station VOC FM is broadcasting.

This project is part of the station’s community responsibility programs including the club. We could have gone to the rural places of Mkhondo but because one of our players is from this area we decided to come here.” He said the radio station VOC FM is a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) involved in many community projects and also assist in schools around the region and the club.
